Seminar
2019
A seminar by Professor Sheth, a faculty member of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA.
Date: Friday, August 09, 2019
Time: 14:00 – 15:00 HRS
Venue: ICTP-EAIFR, top floor (EINSTEIN Block / Former “KIST2” Building of the Univ. of Rwanda in Nyarugenge)
Prof. Sheth is a faculty member of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. He earned his PhD degree from the University of Cambridge, UK. He has played a leading role in the development of what is now the standard model to describe the nonlinear clustering of structures in the Universe: the Halo Model. It is currently the best language for interpreting many measurements of cosmological interest, such as weak lensing, the thermal and kinematic Sunyaev-Zeldovich effects, and how galaxy clustering depends on galaxy type.
