Nanotechnology: Introduction and Prospects
A seminar by Prof. Dr. Ir. Hans Hilgenkamp will give a basic overview on nanotechnology, illustrated with examples from research done at the University of Twente and the resulting creation of spin off companies, with possible relevance to Rwanda and Africa.

Dr. Shoaib Munir, ICTP-EAIFR, will talk about channels for improved search strategies to better detect Higgs Bosons that might have escaped detection at the LHC due to their heavy masses or very weak interactions with SM particles.

The goal of these short courses in cosmology is to develop and instil skills, knowledge, and understanding of the origin and evolution of the the Universe, from the Big Bang to the formation of stars and galaxies and to its final fate in the distant future.
